About
My name is Aleisha Gannon and I am the Founder of Pink Lotus Breast Restoration.
Over the past few years I have volunteered my tattooing services through the YWCA Encore Support Program at Flinders Hospital, for women who have undergone breast cancer treatment.
I have learnt a lot about Breast Cancer and the journey that goes along with it, and through these incredible women I have been able to make a difference. I have utilised my skills as a Cosmetic & Body Art Tattooist to reconstruct their nipples using 3D tattooing techniques.
I chose the name Pink Lotus because of the spiritual meaning behind what a lotus represents; ascension, enlightenment, or rebirth. A pink lotus in particular means purity & devotion. Subtle meanings are often the most powerful.
My drive was to cater for all women along their breast cancer journey including those post mastectomy and post nipple reconstruction. I have created a temporary tattoo that mimics a realistic nipple, available in difference colours & shapes. It was based on the fact that some women's skin, post mastectomy, isn't strong enough for a nipple reconstruction yet or radiation treatment has weakened their immune system- not allowing them to be tattooed for a few years. A 3D temporary nipple tattoo option makes it possible for them to feel whole again.
The thing that pushed me to create a 3D temporary nipple was the reoccuring comment that they 'thought they were strong enough to deal with losing (their) breasts'. Until they were gone. Their strength, normality, femininity, and motherhood, their breasts were no longer a part of them and nothing could disguise the 'picasso' scars. Applying a temporary tattoo gives the illusion of having their nipples back.
My services include Permanent 3D tattooing of Nipples and also a Temporary Tattoo option which lasts from 5-14 days. I also can create a beautiful artwork over your mastectomy scars if you would prefer to have a more artistic approach. My Private Studio is on the edge of the CBD in Adelaide at Hackney, South Australia.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for me, I have more to expand on and am thankful for your support.
